High-Speed Production: Ultrasonic Sealed Punched Handle Bags

The defining feature of the D-cut nonwoven bag is its integrated handle and seam construction. Unlike handle bags that require additional sewing steps, D-cut bags are formed using automated die-cutting and ultrasonic edge sealing. Ultrasonic technology uses high-frequency vibrations to bond the nonwoven fibers together without thread or glue. This not only creates a clean, tear-resistant seam  but also drastically increases production output. This automated process is why D-cut bags offer the lowest unit cost for high-volume promotional campaigns.

Custom Printing for Promotional D-Cut Bags

We offer two primary printing methods for our flat nonwoven bags, depending on your artwork and budget: Silk Screen Printing: The most cost-effective option for simple, 1-to-2 color logos. Ideal for large-scale promotional giveaways where budget is the primary concern. Lamination Gravure Printing: For brands that require high-impact visuals, we apply a printed BOPP film over the nonwoven base. This supports full-color, photo-quality graphics and adds a waterproof layer to the bag.

FAQs

What is a D-cut nonwoven bag?

A D-cut bag is a flat nonwoven tote where the handle is die-cut (punched) directly into the top of the bag structure, resembling the letter "D". It requires no sewn handles, making it highly efficient to produce and very cost-effective.

What is the recommended GSM for these bags?

We produce D-cut bags ranging from 40 to 100 gsm. For extremely lightweight giveaways (like event brochures), 40-60 gsm is sufficient. For pharmacy bags or light retail, 70-80 gsm is the most common and durable choice.

Are these bags strong enough without stitched handles?

Yes. Because the handle is integrated into the bag body and we use high-quality PP spunbond nonwoven fabric with strong tensile strength , the die-cut handles offer good tear resistance for light to medium loads.

Can I print a full-color photograph on a D-cut bag?

Absolutely. While simple logos use screen printing, we can achieve full-color, photo-quality graphics through lamination gravure printing, where a printed film is bonded to the nonwoven fabric

What is the main difference between D-cut and T-shirt (vest) bags?

D-cut bags have a simple flat top with a punched hole for a handle, ideal for documents and flat items. T-shirt bags have an integrated strap-like handle (similar to plastic grocery bags) and side gussets, offering higher capacity and load-bearing strength (3-8 kg) for supermarkets.

Why Die-Cut Handle Bags are the Ultimate Promotional Choice

When planning high-volume marketing campaigns or trade shows, sourcing custom printed nonwoven bags that balance quality and budget is critical. Die-cut handle bags (frequently referred to as punched handle nonwoven bags) are the most efficient solution. Because the handle is integrated into the bag's body rather than sewn on separately, the manufacturing process relies entirely on automated ultrasonic sealed bag machinery. This eliminates manual sewing labor, resulting in cheap reusable bags that do not compromise on durability for lightweight items.

The Material: PP Spunbond Fabric

Our flat nonwoven bags are manufactured using 100% PP spunbond fabric. This material is highly breathable, lightweight, and recyclable. As global regulations shift away from single-use plastics, businesses are transitioning to eco-friendly promotional bags. A standard 80 gsm reusable flat bag can withstand dozens of uses, keeping your printed logo visible long after the initial event or retail purchase.

Comparing Bag Styles for Your Business

It is important to choose the right structure for your specific needs. While nonwoven tote bags with sewn handles are better for heavy groceries (5-10kg), and T-shirt bags (vest bags) are the standard for supermarkets, the D-cut bag design shines in the light-duty sector. They are the globally preferred pharmacy bags, exhibition bags, and boutique retail bags. For brands needing a premium look without the cost of sewn handles, we highly recommend upgrading to BOPP laminated D-cut bags, which offer a waterproof exterior and photographic print quality.
